Level II Seminar: Coaching & Programming

Learn about how to use Chinese weightlifting methods to improve your coaching ability and snatch, clean, and jerk technique under the guidance of the Ma Strength team.

In this clinic, you will learn:

  1. A basic overview of the Chinese weightlifting system
  2. Training philosophy & biomechanics
  3. Programming design for beginner, intermediate, and advanced lifters
  4. Gender differences in training
  5. Hands on coaching practice

The first portion of this seminar is primarily lecture-based for coaches who want to enhance their coaching skills. Experienced athletes who want to improve their understanding of weightlifting techniques are welcomed as well. The latter portion covers coaching cues for implementing Chinese weightlifting technique through hands-on instruction and group critque. Instructors can shadow if they wish not to lift or can use a video of their athlete for critique.

Who: Coaches, trainers, and experienced lifters are welcome who have already completed our Level I seminar.

Duration: Varies by group size.
